Project Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
- Dynamics 365 CE Overview: Understand the core concepts and capabilities of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Service, and Project Service Automation.
- Project Management Fundamentals: Have a solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), project lifecycle, scope management, risk management, resource allocation, scheduling, and budget management.
- Business Processes and Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and align them with Dynamics CE capabilities.
- Dynamics 365 Customization: Familiarity with the customization options in Dynamics 365 CE, including creating custom entities, fields, forms, views, workflows, business rules, and integrations with other systems.
- Data Management: Understand data migration strategies, data mapping, data cleansing, and data integration techniques to ensure a smooth transition of data into Dynamics CE.
- Solution Architecture: Work with technical architects to design the overall solution architecture, considering factors like scalability, security, integrations, and future enhancements.
- Change Management: Plan and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the new system, including user training, communication plans, and addressing resistance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with all project stakeholders, including executives, team members, developers, and end-users.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, manage project team members' workloads, and ensure collaboration between different teams (e.g., business analysts, developers, testers).
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Understand testing methodologies, create test plans, oversee quality assurance processes, and ensure that the solution meets business requirements and is free of defects.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address them. Regularly review and update risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reporting and Analytics: Understand how to create and configure reports, dashboards, and analytics using Dynamics 365 CE's built-in tools or integrating with Power BI.
- Dynamics CE Licensing: Familiarity with the licensing model of Dynamics 365 CE, ensuring that the project remains compliant with licensing agreements.
- Project Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation, including requirements documents, design documents, meeting minutes, issue logs, and project plans.

- Technology Integration: Be aware of supply chain technologies such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and how they integrate to streamline operations.
- Logistics and Distribution: Understand transportation, warehousing, and distribution concepts. Plan and optimize logistics processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Inventory Management: Have a grasp of inventory control techniques, including reorder points, safety stock, economic order quantity (EOQ), and just-in-time (JIT) inventory principles.
- Demand Forecasting: Familiarity with demand forecasting methodologies and tools to accurately predict customer demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Understand procurement strategies, supplier selection, procurement processes, and the importance of sustainable and ethical sourcing.
- Project Management Methodologies: Have a strong grasp of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, and the ability to choose the appropriate approach for different project types.
