Realizing the Need for an Integrated IT Ecosystem: 

Vantage Speciality Chemicals Case StudyThe client is a premier global supplier of naturally derived specialty ingredients and formulations, serving both industrial and consumer markets, with 9 legal entities, a presence in over 89 countries, and 25+ warehouses in 10,000+ locations. With a robust vertical raw material position, the client leverages technical expertise and flexible processing capabilities to enhance its products through the derivatization of fatty acids via alkoxylation and esterification. This value-added approach ensures that its products significantly improve customer applications. The client's profound market understanding enables it to meet customer demands competitively and proactively. 

In its pursuit of continuous improvement, the client was looking to replace its current MSP to resolve challenges, including the pending completion of many tasks and developments up to the Conference Room Pilot (CRP) 2 stage. The processes were not finalized, leading to operational challenges. The implementation of critical systems was behind schedule, creating a bottleneck in operations and impacting overall productivity.  

Moreover, the client required seamless integration with various third-party services such as UPS, FedEx, EasyPost, BarTender, and 3PL warehouses to streamline logistics and operational workflows. They also required Power Apps to overcome the lack of real-time data entry for laboratory quality control, which caused delays in production and quality assurance processes.

Overall, they were looking for a single source of truth, driven by the need for more reliable, consistent, and actionable data across all levels of the organization. Implementing the D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management system was a promising solution as it addressed the critical requirement and brought about a revolutionary change in how the client managed its operations.

DynaTech was introduced to the client as an initial assignment to develop a Quality Management Power App. Recognizing DynaTech's expertise and problem-solving skills, The client engaged for a more comprehensive solution. A DynaTech representative participated in CRP 2 to understand existing processes, laying the groundwork for future support. After providing bespoke consultation services, DynaTech approached the client's challenges with a suite of Finance Optimization, Supply Chain Modernization, and Customer Service Enhancement Solutions powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules and custom-developed applications. The critical components of the solution included: 

Finance Optimization and Supply Chain Modernization Solution powered by Dynamics 365: Implemented to manage General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash & Bank management, Credit & Collections, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Production, Inventory Management, Advanced Warehouse Management System (AWMS), Sales, Procurement, and Costing. This module streamlined financial and operational processes across the organization. 

Power Apps and Quality Management Power App: A bespoke Power App was developed for real-time data entry in the laboratory, enhancing the Quality Control (QC) processes. The app enabled instant data capture and processing, improving accuracy and efficiency in quality management. 

Power BI: It is integrated for advanced analytics and business intelligence, allowing the client to make data-driven decisions based on insights from comprehensive reporting and dashboards. 

Sales Transformation powered by D365 Customer Engagement (CE): This was implemented to enhance customer relationship management, improve customer service, and streamline sales processes. 

Integration with Third-Party Services: DynaTech seamlessly integrated UPS, FedEx, and EasyPost via the Shipping Carrier Connector to optimize shipping and logistics operations. We also integrated with third-party logistics providers to streamline warehouse management and inventory control. BarTender was used for label layout integration, ensuring accurate and compliant product labeling.
