Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain D365 F&O solutions based on business requirements.
• Develop customizations, extensions, workflows, forms, reports, and business logic using X++ and other relevant technologies.
• Build and maintain integrations between D365 F&O and third-party applications using APIs, OData, Azure Logic Apps, and Power Platform.
• Translate functional and business requirements into technical designs, development specifications, and implementation plans.
• Use GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation while following organizational security policies.
• Manage development and deployment activities across Development, Sandbox, and Production environments using Lifecycle Services (LCS).
• Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and performance optimization to ensure solution quality and reliability.
• Support QA, SIT, UAT, deployment, release management, and production support activities.
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, implement fixes, and recommend preventive measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, business analysts, QA teams, and other technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow Microsoft development standards, security guidelines, and coding best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, integrations, development processes, and solution maintainability.

Technical Competency

• Dynamics 365 F&O: Strong knowledge of application architecture, X++, extensions, customizations, workflows, forms, reports, and development best practices.
• Programming: Hands-on experience with X++; working knowledge of C# and .NET.
• Integration: REST APIs, OData, Azure Logic Apps, web services, and third-party application integrations.
• Microsoft Power Platform: Understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and integration capabilities.
• Azure & Data: Understanding of Azure services, SQL Server, data entities, and data exchange mechanisms.
• Development Lifecycle: Lifecycle Services (LCS), environment management, deployment processes, debugging, and production support.
• DevOps & Source Control: Azure DevOps, Git, version control, and CI/CD fundamentals.
• AI-Assisted Development: GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools for coding, debugging, and documentation.
• Quality & Security: Unit testing, code reviews, performance optimization, access control, and secure development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development.
• Strong hands-on experience with X++ development, customization, and extensions.
• Experience integrating D365 F&O with third-party applications and external systems.
• Experience with deployment, debugging, testing, and production support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate (MB-500) or other relevant Microsoft certifications.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in enterprise application development.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Dataverse, and advanced Azure integration services.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise application implementation projects.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring, automated testing, and deployment automation.
