Four business units, one global ERP template

This global natural chemistry company creates, produces and sources specialty chemicals and ingredients across Personal Care, Performance Materials, Oleochemicals and Foods. Its 2,000+ product portfolio, which includes natural oils and glycerine, surfactants and esters, alkoxylates, polysorbates, emulsifiers and defoamers, serves personal care, food processing, pharmaceutical, agricultural and industrial markets from 8 manufacturing facilities, 13 formulation laboratories and 19 distribution warehouses spanning 13 countries. Running that footprint on disconnected systems made a standardized, global D365 process manufacturing ERP the priority.

Finance Management

Standardized general ledger, AP, AR and costing across all four business units and 13 countries on D365 F&SCM, replacing fragmented data with real-time financial visibility and centralized governance. Native credit card processing was embedded directly into the D365 payment cycle.

Supply Chain & Production Planning

Integrated MRP-driven planning across every facility, lab, warehouse and country, covering process manufacturing, procurement, inventory and cost optimization, with dashboards to firm planned transfer orders by horizon and real-time stock visibility.

Quality Management (Lab Operations)

A Power Apps-based QC solution integrated with D365 F&O for real-time lab testing, with a "copy quality results" capability to duplicate outcomes across similar batches and customer-specific test configuration on Certificates of Analysis.

Sales & Customer Relationship Management

D365 Customer Engagement streamlines the sales lifecycle and customer service across all business units, with QR-code sample order selection and rule-based inventory reservation by quality parameters and shipment priority.

Logistics, Labeling & Analytics

BarTender and ZPL label printing, built into Dynamics 365

Fulfillment, compliant labeling and enterprise reporting all run through the same D365 F&O foundation, connecting carriers, label printers and Power BI into one operational picture.

Shipment and fulfillment processing across 19 warehouses and 13 countries, connecting UPS and FedEx via EasyPost with 3PL coordination, plus sales line-level validation and quality checks at warehouse release.

Automated BarTender labeling and trigger-based document printing generate SDS sheets, bills of lading, packing lists and work lists in ZPL-ready formats at the right point in fulfillment.

D365 F&O Advanced Warehouse Management (AWMS) on mobile devices, with cycle counts, serial and batch scanning, 2D GS1 barcode scanning and customer-specific label layouts.
