This is accomplished by ensuring the professional standards of available designations, enhancing and preserving the profession's relevance, and regulating the professional conduct of members and associates according to its Code. 

Recognizing the need to gain a competitive edge, the client embarked on upgrading and integrating its legacy systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Among these legacy systems was iMIS, an on-premise SQL-based CRM software, which was integrated with on-premise GP. The client relied on over 10 different customer-facing portals/websites and on-premise software to manage customer expectations. Invoicing for their 60k members was done through an on-premises system, a process that took around two weeks and required constant engagement with IT and other team members. Additionally, they wanted to resolve the trial balance, P&L, and payment allocation delays due to the large volume of transactions. 

The client had invested four years of effort into a previous MSP to decommission both the GP and iMIS systems. Therefore, they sought a partner that could migrate the complex data from GP to Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM)  seamlessly and without data loss.

Modernizing the Legacy Systems with DynaTech’s Integrated Solutions Coupled with Power BI and Azure Services

Real-Time Integration and Data Sync

DynaTech Systems implemented a bi-directional real-time integration/sync between iMIS and D365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE) using on-premises data gateway connectors of Power Automate Cloud Flow. This migration covered Customers, Invoices, Payments, New Members Applications, and Product Masters in both systems. Additionally, a Power BI Reconciliation Report was developed to gather data from SQL, Dataverse, and MySQL, providing real-time insights into the integration's health and financial data from all systems.

To streamline operations and reduce costs, an out-of-the-box free integration between D365 CE and Power Pages was leveraged. This portal offers a wide range of functionalities for customers, including Dashboard access, Query Management, Invoices, Payment Receipts, Monthly Statements, Payment arrangements, Chatbot support, Membership application and annual declaration, Certificate issuance, Integration with Pay U payment provider, Event and Seminar management, Training Contract Management System, Electronic Assessment Tool, and Exam registration and result tracking.  

DynaTech's Sales Transformation Solution integrated with Power Pages resulted in a significant decrease in expenses associated with building APIs for various websites. 

DynaTech’s Finance Optimization and Customer Service Enhancement Solution

Invoice generation was automated within D365 CRM, with invoices seamlessly transferred to D365 F&SCM for automatic posting. PDF invoices were uploaded to the portal for members to view, download, and pay. The system was further enhanced with the capability to import valid member data (200k-300k) through Excel or auto-fetch from D365, generating PDF invoices stored on Azure Blob Storage for member access. Email notifications, dynamically branded, were sent to each member via SendGrid, with staff having access to analytics for email conversations.

The client used to generate invoices for their 60k members on an on-premises system, which used to take around 2 weeks with constant engagement with IT and other team members, was reduced to just 8 hours.

Payment Processing and New Functionalities

A thorough testing phase, including legacy system evaluation and reverse engineering, preceded the development of new functionalities in D365 F&SCM and D365 CE. Using D365 CE, a payment allocation process was implemented to manage 1k payments daily, along with features for monthly statements, case management, new member applications, survey collection, credit card payment integration, payment refunds, company registration, marketing campaign management, contract management, legal & compliance modules, and exam portal integration.

Data Security and Advanced Reporting

Security measures included integrating F&SCM through SFTP with a bank for direct vendor payments, division and account-wise budget control, and securing vendor banking details with workflows and email notifications. Power BI Reports were delivered by loading data onto Azure Synapses from Dataverse, with Azure Synapse SQL Serverless pool providing real-time data for Power BI reporting.

We migrated GP to D365 F&SCM of six legal entities in a year without losing any financial data in the process.
